Project Overview
This is a project we carried out in Royden Marina. The customer wanted a low maintenance garden as they spend several months a year in Spain, so they obviously can’t upkeep the garden when they’re not there, but somewhere they could just sit out and enjoy the sun when they are here.
Porcelain Paving Installation
The first thing we did was to change the paving at both sides of the property to a slick porcelain paving to give the space a more modern look.
Composite Decking
We then installed composite decking down the left hand side of the property and into the bottom corner of the garden which is an area that gets the most sunlight and is by the river.
The top decking by the back door wasn’t too bad structurally so we left the substructure and replaced the decking over the top to composite decking to match the rest of the garden.
We’ve left the balustrade in place but we have rebuilt the steps down to the garden so that they will last and are easy to maintain.
Artificial Lawn
We changed the grass to an artificial lawn, which is obviously low maintenance and involves no mowing. We also replaced any damaged fencing along the boundaries to give a nice clean finish to the garden makeover.
